Injectable Treatments: Botox & Filler Injections > Treating lines on the bridge of the nose

I have a patient who complains of a deep horizontal line across the top ridge of her nose. She wants to erase that line. Upon inspection, the area is fleshy between the eyes (without frowning). Would the area be suitable to treat with Botox?

Are the glabellar furrows deep? I have used a filler in combination with Botox in that area with great response. I have also treated these lines without effecting the procerus. You may need to experiment with dosing units. I would start with less units at initial injection to see how patientt responds and then add more at follow up if too much movement and it doesn't drop the glabellar area. I always play the "unknown" conservatively. Please let us know how it goes!

In my clinic, off label neurotoxin is the only chance to treat the bunny lines.

I inject both the procerus and the nasalis muscles to relax the bunny lines. It works great and patient satisfaction is high.

The stria of the procerus muscle causes the horizontal rhytids at the bridge of the nose. The procerus also "pulls" down the heads of the corrugators. When treating glabellar lines, I more frequently than not, also relax the procerus with neurotoxin in order to give the patient a more natural looking brow. Because of the risk of tissue compromise in this area, I rarely inject fillers.

Botox and Belotero.

Do the botox, let it kick in, after it is working have her come back and then put Belotero in the lines. It's the thinnest filler, the monophasic hyaluronic acid. Off label of course but I love it for Tear Troughs, Bunny Lines and Crows.
