Injectable Treatments: Botox & Filler Injections > botox for lateral forehead wrinkles way beyond mid pupillary line

Hello,

I treated forehead lines on a patient of mine with an excellent result centrally. However, she's still frustrated by laterally wrinkles appearing mainly when she looks up - lateral 1/4th aspect of her forehead, 2 and 10 o'clock position extending diagonally upward. The central creases are totally eliminated. I haven't injected her laterally due to risk of significant brow drop. Any advice? It does not appear to involve her orbicularis oculie muscle. It would be nice if I could post a picture on this forum.

I use the rule of thumb. That is, never treat a thumb width closer to the brow laterally. I place my thumb over the brow, make a marking, and inject my toxin. I will treat the forehead hair line to hair line and by always following my rule, I do not have a problem with brow drop. Those lateral forehead lines do not always go away completely, but they soften and most importantly, do not worsen.
